The river Arnoult The peaceful Arnoult river was in the past a more powerful river that filled, little by little, an arm of the sea, which is testified by the cliff and which gave our town its name : Ponti Labium ( lip of the sea ).

Since two villages : Saint-Michel and La Chaume were attached to the town in 1825, it has got bigger and bigger. Trade and agriculture are the two main activities. Thanks to its rich soil, the artichokes and the « mojhettes » (sort of beans) grown here are very famous.
